Carefully understand these choices to find out what suits your status and especially your requirements. Also take note that these alternatives may or may not include standard insurance plans.

If you’re studying abroad, you might want to consider joining International Student Organization.  This organization offers both individual and family dental plans for international students. If you’re not an international student, contact your health department and inquire if they offer student plans in order to cover the dental needs of their student body.

Another option is joining a provider access organization (PA).  There are several PA’s that exist all over the country. This organization provides huge discounts in your rates. Moreover, they can also cover pre-existing conditions that insurance companies seldom handle, saving you a fraction of the monthly costs.  The only disadvantage is that they do not provide you with the flexibility in choosing which dental or medical facility you may want to utilize.
